Hotellinx Suite has a modern XML interface, which can be used for real-time connections with CRS, GDS, web-booking portals etc. The Hotellinx XML interface has been used to interface e.g. with Hotel Booking Solutions, through which chains as well as individual hotels can get a GDS connection, but you can also use it to communicate with your chain’s central reservation system, or if you have built your own web reservation module, to get your Internet reservations directly into Hotellinx from there.

The Hotellinx XML interface delivers rate and availability information to your cooperators, and receives bookings, which are inserted directly into your own hotel database.

Online, the Hotellinx XML interface receives enquiries and gives immediate responses, showing available room types and their rates. When a reservation is received, it is also immediately inserted into the Hotellinx database, provided that rooms are available. The sending system is notified of the result.

If for some reason the Hotellinx XML interface cannot be used in real-time, it also has a batch option. In this mode, the interface delivers availability and rates at fixed intervals, and the other party works with a ‘rough’ booking situation. The interface also requests for reservations at fixed intervals. If no rooms are available when the reservations arrive, the sender is notified. The batch model does not require a web server in the hotel.

The online XML interface generally requires that the hotel has its own web server, but on the other hand offers many important advantages
