Hotellinx for Schools

Hotellinx Suite, which is a good tool not only for learning special front office functions, but also for understanding hotel management as a whole, is used in many hotel and restaurant schools around the world. The same software package is delivered to schools as to real hotels. Hotellinx Suite for educational purposes is free of charge and can be used on any number of workstations for an unlimited period of time.

Schools generally work with the demo database that is installed by the same setup routine that installs the Hotellinx Suite programs. A special built-in function makes the hotel situation look like today’s at all times. The demo database includes three pre-defined hotels. It is possible, and allowed, to add new rooms, rates, rate groups, segments, users and other parameters to the demo database. Even new hotels can be added.

The comprehensive training material included in the Hotellinx Suite package makes Hotellinx ideal for schools. The Hotellinx Suite Presentation is detailed and a good introduction to training and self-studies. The User's Guide is included on the Installation CD and can be printed in as many copies as required. The User's Guide is excellent for self-studies. It is based on screen shots and short explanations and all examples are taken from the demo database, which makes it easy to learn by using the system while reading. Hotellinx Suite also includes an online help file.

If the school has its own hotel or cooperates with some specific hotel, a training database can be created out of the real hotel database at any time, and students can practice with that training database without messing the real data up.

If a school has its own hotel with paying guests, Hotellinx Suite with a special discount is available to that hotel.
